This time, we focused on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cs-cart.com\/multivendor\" title=\"\">Multi-Vendor<\/a>: added an <i>automatic vendor payout system<\/i> and incorporated <i>new cool demo data<\/i>. CS-Cart got improvements, too: <i>promotions aren\u2019t reapplied on order editing<\/i> now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are some details on the new stuff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 id='multi-vendor-improvements'  id=\"boomdevs_1\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Multi-Vendor Improvements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When working on version 4.5.1, we tried to make it easier for store owners to work with vendors. Here\u2019s what we did new to Multi-Vendor:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Implemented an automatic vendor payout system.<\/strong> This feature works through <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.cs-cart.com\/4.5.x\/user_guide\/addons\/paypal_adaptive\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PayPal Adaptive Payments<\/a>: when a customer pays for the order, PayPal Adaptive divides the income between the marketplace owner and the vendor. No more manual payouts! <strong>NOTE:<\/strong> <i>after the upgrade<\/i>, you need to install the <i>PayPal Adaptive Payments add-on<\/i> in <i>Add-ons \u2192 Manage add-ons \u2192 Browse all available add-ons.<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-opt-id=1651372864  fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mldi5dmmdvnt.i.optimole.com\/cb:sOwt.3b410\/w:auto\/h:auto\/q:mauto\/f:best\/https:\/\/www.cs-cart.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/paypal-adaptive.png\" alt=\"PayPal Adaptive Payments in Multi-Vendor\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.cs-cart.com\/4.5.x\/user_guide\/users\/vendors\/account_balance.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Revamped the Vendors \u2192 Account balance page.<\/a><\/strong> Now we call this page \u201cAccounting\u201d. The new demo data includes <i>12 vendors<\/i> (previously there were only 2), about <i>5,000 products<\/i> (less than 300 products before), the relevant information on the new Accounting page, and more.<img data-opt-id=343493075  data-opt-src=\"https:\/\/mldi5dmmdvnt.i.optimole.com\/cb:sOwt.3b410\/w:auto\/h:auto\/q:mauto\/f:best\/https:\/\/www.cs-cart.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/demo-shad.png\"  decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block; width: 700px;\" src=\"data:image/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20viewBox%3D%220%200%20100%%20100%%22%20width%3D%22100%%22%20height%3D%22100%%22%20xmlns%3D%22http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg%22%3E%3Crect%20width%3D%22100%%22%20height%3D%22100%%22%20fill%3D%22transparent%22%2F%3E%3C%2Fsvg%3E\" alt=\"Multi-Vendor demo\"\/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 id='no-automatic-reapplication-of-promotions-on-order-editing'  id=\"boomdevs_2\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">No Automatic Reapplication of Promotions on Order Editing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>CS-Cart has a flexible promotion system. You can give discounts on certain products, offer free shipping on orders, coupon codes, gift certificates, and more. When a customer places an order that falls under the existing promotion rules, the promotion is applied to that order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, an admin can edit customer orders in the admin panel: edit the payment info, prices, taxes, and other details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In earlier versions, when an admin edited an order, promotions <strong>were reapplied<\/strong> to that order according to the existed promotion rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We received some complaints about it, so now automatic reapplication of promotions is disabled <i>on new installations<\/i>. When you <i>upgrade<\/i> from the earlier versions, you\u2019ll have to <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.cs-cart.com\/4.5.x\/user_guide\/manage_products\/promotions\/promotion_recalculation.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">disable it manually<\/a> in the <i>config.local.php file<\/i>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id='paypal-payment-method-settings'  id=\"boomdevs_3\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">PayPal Payment Method Settings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019ve rearranged the settings of payment methods that use PayPal processors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you use PayPal Standard Payments, you can now <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.cs-cart.com\/4.5.x\/user_guide\/payment_methods\/paypal.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">choose, which status an order will get initially<\/a>, right after a customer submits an order and proceeds to the payment page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-opt-id=435295841  data-opt-src=\"https:\/\/mldi5dmmdvnt.i.optimole.com\/cb:sOwt.3b410\/w:auto\/h:auto\/q:mauto\/f:best\/https:\/\/www.cs-cart.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/paypal.png\"  decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20viewBox%3D%220%200%20100%%20100%%22%20width%3D%22100%%22%20height%3D%22100%%22%20xmlns%3D%22http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg%22%3E%3Crect%20width%3D%22100%%22%20height%3D%22100%%22%20fill%3D%22transparent%22%2F%3E%3C%2Fsvg%3E\" alt=\"New PayPal settings\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 id='google-recaptcha-as-the-primary-means-of-anti-bot-protection'  id=\"boomdevs_4\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Google reCAPTCHA as the Primary Means of Anti-Bot Protection<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As you may remember, spambots could bypass the old default CAPTCHA. So, we introduced the Google reCAPTCHA add-on in the previous version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Starting with the new version, we have totally removed the <i>old CAPTCHA<\/i> and the <i>Settings \u2192 Image verification page<\/i>. All the relevant settings are now in the Google reCAPTCHA add-on. During this first week of the release, we\u2019ll be distributing upgrade packages in batches, so as not to overload our servers. After the first week, we\u2019ll open the upgrade distribution fully. So if you don\u2019t see the available upgrade in your Upgrade center now, check for it later. If your upgrade subscription has expired, <a href=\"https:\/\/helpdesk.cs-cart.com\/upgrade-subscriptions.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">extend it<\/a> for another one year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you\u2019re about to open your first online store, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cs-cart.com\/store-builder\/download\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">download<\/a> the installation package, <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.cs-cart.com\/4.4.x\/install\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">install it<\/a> on your server, and <a href=\"https:\/\/helpdesk.cs-cart.com\/licenses.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">buy<\/a> the license.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We hope that you\u2019ll like version 4.5.1.
